Ambelos Waterfalls

On the northern side of Samos, west of the village of Ambelos, the Ambelos Waterfalls form a landscape of exceptional natural beauty, surrounded by the island’s wild and lush vegetation. The waterfalls are located at an altitude of approximately 300 meters, on the small stream known as "Paliomylos," and can be reached via a hiking trail of about 1.5 kilometers. The route passes through dense vegetation featuring chestnut trees, pines, plane trees, and olive trees that create a natural canopy overhead. Small streams cross the path, guiding visitors toward the waterfall. At the end of the trail, an impressive rock formation, approximately 8 meters high, comes into view. From its summit, water cascades powerfully into a small natural pool below, making the Ambelos Waterfalls one of the most distinctive natural attractions on Samos.
