Kamari

Kamari is a small seaside settlement on the east side of Fourni Korseon, about 10 km northeast of Chora, with views toward the islet of Agios Minas. Although it has very few houses, it stands out for its magical view and quiet atmosphere. Its beach, with sand and pebbles, hosts a little taverna right on the water, while the seabed reveals remains of a submerged ancient town and ancient shipwrecks, making it ideal for snorkeling and spearfishing. In the courtyard of the Church of the Taxiarches survive fluted granite columns and marble slabs, and remains of an ancient settlement and tombs have been found in the area.
